Arthur Bryant Applegate is a distinguished legal expert renowned for his extensive knowledge and impactful contributions in government law, ethics, and housing reform across the United States. Applegate’s federal experience includes serving as Senior Counsel at the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), where he reported directly to the Secretary and played a pivotal role in HUD’s America’s Affordable Communities Initiative. His efforts led to the development of innovative housing policies and regulatory reforms, addressing critical issues such as affordable housing accessibility and post-disaster recovery, notably during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

As County Attorney for Seminole County Government, Applegate provided invaluable legal counsel to the Board of County Commissioners and oversaw a team of attorneys and support staff.
