Biography

Michael Maturo is an associate in Lawson Huck Gonzalez’s Miami office, where he represents clients in complex civil disputes at the trial and appellate levels.

Before joining Lawson, Michael served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Raymond F. Treadwell of Florida’s First District Court of Appeal. And before his clerkship, Michael served as a staff attorney for Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal. In those roles, Michael assisted with a broad range of civil and criminal matters and gained firsthand insight into the full arc of appellate practice, including written and oral advocacy; legal research and analysis; and judicial decision-making.

Michael earned his Juris Doctor and LL.M. in Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law from the University of Miami School of Law as a Dean’s Merit Scholar and member of the EASL Honors Program. He also holds a Master of Business Administration and undergraduate degrees in Economics and Legal Studies from Quinnipiac University, where he was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.
