Biography
Kristina Klykova is a Shareholder in Lawson Huck Gonzalez PLLC’s Miami office. Her practice encompasses complex cross-border disputes, international arbitration, and regulatory matters, including privacy and artificial intelligence. She draws on nearly a decade of experience representing sovereign states, multinational corporations, and leading technology platforms to help clients assess multi-jurisdictional risk, develop coordinated litigation and enforcement strategies, and translate complex legal frameworks into practical guidance.
Before joining the firm, Kristina practiced at a leading global law firm, where she advised some of the world’s largest technology and social media companies, including their senior in-house legal teams, on pre-litigation and litigation strategy, risk mitigation, regulatory inquiries, and compliance across jurisdictions. She directed strategy and managed local counsel in civil, commercial, intellectual property, and regulatory proceedings across Europe, Russia, and Canada, including high-volume, politically sensitive enforcement actions with significant financial and reputational exposure, with particular depth in data privacy (including the GDPR), content governance, intermediary liability, and ECtHR proceedings. Her work included advising a foreign corporate official on criminal exposure and extradition risk in a politically motivated prosecution, and she advised in-house teams on public-facing communications in sensitive matters. She also advised on product and platform-related legal issues arising from new features and business initiatives.
Kristina additionally represented sovereign states and multinational clients in investor-state and commercial arbitrations under ICSID, UNCITRAL, and ICC Rules, and high-value enforcement proceedings.
Kristina is a Fulbright Scholar. She earned her J.D. and LL.M. in International Arbitration from the University of Miami School of Law, where she served as a Research Assistant to Professor Jan Paulsson and taught international trade law. She also holds a Master’s degree in International Law and Economics from the World Trade Institute in Switzerland and an LL.B. from Ukraine. Her training in both civil law and common law traditions informs her approach to cross-border disputes involving multiple legal systems.
