Anthony Jose Sirven is a shareholder in Lawson Huck Gonzalez’s Miami office, where he focuses on commercial cases involving fraud, breach-of-contract, partnership, intellectual property and mergers-and-acquisitions (M&A) disputes at both the trial and appellate levels. Anthony also litigates and publishes on constitutional matters.
In his practice, Anthony has successfully litigated cases through mediation, motions practice and trial, including a jury trial that returned a $159 million award for a firm client – the largest verdict in Florida in 2022. More recently, Anthony achieved dismissal of a bet-the-company IP dispute in which the plaintiff sought compensatory and punitive damages that exceeded $7.8 billion. Anthony has achieved case-dispositive wins through summary judgment and post-trial directed verdicts as well, along with securing unanimous affirmances on appeal.
For his achievements, Anthony was selected as one of ALM’s “On The Rise Honorees” in Florida: a recognition given to only a handful of lawyers under the age of 40 within the state.
Before joining Lawson Huck Gonzalez, Anthony was a partner at an Am Law 25 firm. And, before that, Anthony served as a law clerk to the Honorable Paul C. Huck of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, where he worked on federal trials and appeals while Judge Huck sat by designation on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth and Eleventh Circuits.
Outside of his commercial practice, Anthony has written on matters concerning constitutional law that have been published by the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy, Florida Law Review, Texas Review of Law & Politics, Public Discourse and First Things.
